Inside the Field Kitchen

Greenhillock Glamping

Food and Drink

Onsite

The Field Kitchen in the Home Paddock is a communal cooking and eating space with a small kitchenette comprising a fridge and freezer with an ice pack exchange system. A gas stove is available to use for a small donation to cover fuel costs. The Field Kitchen is heated with a wood burning stove, additional logs can be purchased from us.

There is a communal BBQ area which guests are welcome to use. You need to bring your own charcoal.

Pizza

We are delighted to have (finally) opened our Pizza Huttie allowing guest to enjoy delicious homemade pizza in the meadows. Here’s how it works … if we are running a pizza night during your stay, you will get an email about five days in advance asking you to prebook your pizza slot. We will then be in touch to find out how many / what toppings would like. On the day you roll out, top and fire your own pizzas. Don’t worry we show you how to do it and help with the ovens.

Pizza does need to be pre-booked as Kate makes the dough and sauce to order in the mornings and she needs time to do her dough sums and work those triceps! Please note shop bought pizzas are not suitable for our Ooni ovens so please don’t bring them.

Bar and BBQ Nights

We aim to run these every month and publish dates on our events page and Facebook as soon as our license is granted. On these nights we take over the communal BBQ area and open Polyanna our beautiful horsebox bar. You can enjoy delicious local produce without having to cook! On the menu are burgers and sausages and a vegetarian and vegan option. Behind the bar Kate mixes awesome cocktails, pops prosecco and cracks open locally brewed craft beers for you to enjoy.

We usually welcome local musicians, most often Land and Sea, a talented musical duo who delight with their infectious blend of well-known hits and original material. There’s no need to prebook, you can just come on down to the West End and your food will be cooked to order.

Shopping

There are two nearby farm shops where you can pick up locally grown fruit, veg and locally reared /sourced meats as well as store cupboards items, Mill of Inverarity Farm Shop is the closest but Milton Haugh also boasts The Corn Kist café which is well-worth a lunch time visit

The nearest supermarket shopping is available in Forfar.

It's really a very special place for adults and children alike. The meadow flowers are beautiful, the pond dipping is brilliant fun and the field kitchen perfect for gathering together
